Course Cancellation or Postponement of Course Policy
The Compost Research & Education Foundation (CREF) may opt to cancel or postpone a training under the following circumstances:
- If a scheduled Compost Operations Training Course (COTC) does not meet the minimum threshold of 20 registrants by 4 weeks from the date of the event, CREF may cancel the training event.
- If there is strong reason to believe that significant registrations are forthcoming, the cancellation may be delayed.
- If a scheduled COTC is affected by a Force Majeure situation (including, but not limited to, severe weather events, civil unrest, pandemic, or infrastructure failures), CREF may cancel the training event. CREF will make a best effort to proceed with the training as scheduled, taking into consideration safety and availability of the training location.
If CREF chooses to cancel or postpone a COTC, registrants will be offered the option to attend the rescheduled training (in the case of postponement), receive credit toward attending a future COTC event, or receive a full refund of their registration fee.
Travel costs such as airfare, transportation, and lodging are the responsibility of each attendee. CREF encourages all attendees to book travel arrangements that are refundable or can be credited toward future travel.
